Boil Water Order Lifted for Water Customers in DeSoto

DESOTO, Ill. -- A boil water order for customers in DeSoto was lifted on Monday morning.

This boil water order first went in effect for certain customers in the Village of DeSoto on Thursday, September 19.

The DeSoto Water Department issued the order on September 19, at around 3 p.m.

The order was for water customers on Dumaroc Road, Bowlby Road, Suzy Q Circle and Township Line Road.

The boil water order was issued after a water line break.

The DeSoto Public Works Director Danny Vancil said water samples were tested and came back free of bacteria.

Customers can now return back to normal use of water in this area.
