DU QUOIN, Ill. (WSIL) -- All boil water orders in the City of Du Quoin have been lifted, city officials said on Friday morning.

City officials alerted the public about the current status of the lifted boil water orders at 8:36 a.m. on February 28.

One lifted boil water order was originally issued on February 25, which affected multiple streets, including Lakeview Lane, Dogwood Lane, Iris Lane, S. Line Street and other nearby customers. These customers can now consume their water without boiling it beforehand.

City officials say all their customers can return to consuming their water. For more information on city services, you can find it .
