HICKMAN, Ky. -- The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is now closed, this time due to high winds.
The ferry halted operations at 2:30 p.m. on Friday due to the windy conditions.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 1 reports the ferry recorded winds up to 38 mph out of the south. A passing towboat reported wind gusts up to 45 mph near the Hickman Harbor.
Crews will re-evaluate conditions on Saturday morning and will determine if the ferry can be back in operational status.
