Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 15.1 feet Thursday,
April 24.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Facebook group helps highlight local restaurants as Gov. Pritkzer orders shutdown

(WSIL) -- Restaurants in southern Illinois are looking to stay afloat as Governor JB Pritzker due to COVID-19 concerns.

The Facebook group "" has started a thread for businesses who will be offering delivery or curbside services. Those will still be allowed for the next two weeks along with drive-thru service.

¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois Eats is a closed Facebook group that requires approval to join. As of 5 p.m. Sunday, it had nearly 23,000 members.

Area bars are impacted as well.

in Marion posted on Facebook that the business would be open on Monday, and owners will match employee tips to help them during the time the business is forced to close.
