(CNN) -- Microsoft is bringing the icons designed for its operating system into the 21st century.
The tech giant plans to release a new update for Windows 10 this fall.
The redesign, called "Sun Valley" includes new looks for several 26 year old icons.
Gone are the older symbols, first seen on Windows 95, using the trackball mice and CRT monitors.
Instead they have been replaced with symbols showing flat screen monitors and touch screens.
Even the icons for the floppy disk drive and CD drive are getting a make-over.
The new look is slated to be released in October.
