.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday afternoon.

Nearly 100 members drop off recycled items with Egyptian Electric Cooperative Association

MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WSIL) -- A local electric company collected a significant amount of recycled products from their members this weekend.

The Egyptian Electric Cooperative Association held their Member Appreciation and Recycle Day where they saw a total of 96 vehicles come by and drop off items to be recycled.

In the photos provided by Egyptian Electric Cooperative Association, you see there are multiple boxes full of recycled products.

Members and employees were also able to enjoy complimentary coffee from The Wicked Bean and donuts from Marks' Bakery.
