* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

New pizza restaurant opening in Du Quoin

DU QUOIN (WSIL) -- Martel's Pizza has announced it will be opening a second restaurant in Du Quoin.

The owners of the Murphysboro eatery made the announcement on along with a picture of the building.

In the , owners said they are already members of the community and are excited to serve Du Quoin.

Friday, September 18 is the tentative opening date.
