...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT CDT /1 AM EDT/ TONIGHT TO
9 AM CDT /10 AM EDT/ TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 to 30 degrees
expected over most of the region. Everyone should see a 32 degree
low or close to it.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From midnight CDT /1 AM EDT/ tonight to 9 AM CDT /10 AM
EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Murphysboro affecting Jackson County.

Big Muddy River near Plumfield affecting Williamson and Franklin
Counties.

.Heavy rainfall has ended across the area. The Big Muddy River is
continuing to rise and crests are expected over the next week.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...Major
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 34.0 feet, Many surrounding homes begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 25.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Sunday was 25.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.4
feet Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Phone outage affecting customers in 九游体育 Illinois

BENTON, Ill. -- UPDATE: 11:58 a.m. - Clearwave Fiber reports an on-site engineer has repaired the issue and services are restoring. Engineers are working and configuring all comprised services to restore all services.

AT&T is still reporting outages.

ORIGINAL: 10:42 a.m. - Phone outages are being reported across areas in southern Illinois.

AT&T said there is a wireless outage in the southern Illinois area near Carterville.

Clearwave also said they have outages in 九游体育 Illinois area as well and are working clearly to fix the problem.

Several schools and businesses in multiple southern Illinois counties are reporting outages as well.

Franklin County Emergency Management Agency (FCEMA) has reported that phones and cellular networks have been affected. Although they did say 911 has been tested and is working but 7-digit lines are intermittently down.

FCEMA said non-emergency phone calls to public safety will need to wait until the 7-digit lines are restored.

They also urge everyone to not call 911 for non-emergency issues.

AT&T said on their website they expect things to be back to normal by May 5th.
