HERRIN, Ill. (WSIL) -- Several communities in Williamson County have lifted a boil water order which was issued on Tuesday evening.
The boil water orders were issued on December 3, hours after a water main break occurred on a line in the Johnston City area.
The boil water order was issued in communities, which included Coal Valley, Pittsburg, Herrin and Energy.
On Thursday, Herrin, Energy and Pittsburg have lifted the boil water orders. A representative with the Coal Valley Water District says they are hopeful to get the test results back soon, however, they have yet to lift the boil water order for their customers.
