(CNN) -- Shipping companies are preparing for millions of peple to return all those Christmas gifts they didn't like.
Several shipping companies have dubbed January 2 as "National Returns Day."
UPS expects a record 1.9 million packages to be returned Thursday, a 26-percent increase from last year.
That prediction is just for UPS. It doesn't include packages sent through the Postal Service or FedEx.
UPS expects the record numbers because January 2 is the first work day of the new year.
The company also said many people buy online with the intention of returning the product if they don't like it.
