MT. VERNON, Ill. (WSIL) -- A man was arrested and faces a charge in connection to another man's death in Jefferson County.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said on February 21, at 1:21 p.m., a domestic disturbance with shots fired was reported at 12339 E. Oakton Road in Mt. Vernon. After law enforcement arrived at the scene, they said Leslie Borah, 61, was identified as a resident there at the home.
Upon further searching of the home, the sheriff's office said they found Adam Borah, 33, who was unresponsive and later was declared dead by the Jefferson County Coroner Roger Hayse.
Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigations also responded to the scene.
Leslie Borah was taken to the sheriff's office and was arrested and charged with unlawful concealing of a death, authorities stated. Leslie was later reported to have been released with a mandatory court appearance.
An autopsy was also scheduled for Adam Borah on Tuesday, February 25.
