HARRISBURG, Ill. (WEVV) � A woman has been arrested on charges including home invasion and aggravated battery with a firearm after a victim was shot in the face in southern Illinois.
The Harrisburg Police Department says a 911 call came in before 4 p.m. Monday for a shooting at a home on Michigan Street, where a woman had reportedly been shot in the head.
Officers and Saline County deputies responded, and found the 25-year-old victim walking to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the face. The victim was immediately transported to the Harrisburg Medical Center where she was transferred to a trauma center. Â
Authorities say the suspect was identified as 30-year-old Amy N. Tolley of Harrisburg. After securing the crime scene and searching for Tolley, police say they found her around 6:30 p.m. on the city's west side.
Tolley was taken into custody and is being charged with crimes including home invasion, aggravated battery with a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
