MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. -- A woman faces multiple charges after she was taken to a local hospital and is alleged to have assaulted employees.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office said deputies first responded to a local hotel on July 7, to help assist a woman who was locked in a bathroom and was allegedly intoxicated.

The woman then exited out of the restroom and was then taken to the Marshall County Emergency Room, the sheriff's office detailed in a report.

The woman, identified as Vickie Hess, 56 of Jefferson, Ohio, then reportedly created a disturbance, causing law enforcement to be called out again.

Hess was alleged to have assaulted staff there at the hospital. A report from the sheriff's office also stated Hess got out of the restraints, but was again restrained.

Hess was later taken to the Marshall County Jail after she was medically cleared. The sheriff's office said Hess faces charges of assault 3rd degree, alcohol intoxication in a public place, disorderly conduct 2nd degree, menacing and escape 3rd degree.
