PADUCAH, Ky. -- A man was taken to jail after a pursuit spanning two counties in western Kentucky on Wednesday.
The Kentucky State Police said a Trooper saw a red Chevrolet Corvette reportedly traveling at 105 mph just before 11 a.m. on I-69 near Draffenville.
The KSP Trooper then tried to pull over the vehicle, however, the Corvette then accelerated and tried to drive away, KSP said in a release.
The Corvette reportedly passed multiple vehicles on the shoulder on I-24 as it continued to drive towards Paducah. The driver then exited I-24 onto Husbands Road in Paducah.
KSP said the pursuit was terminated at one point, however, the Corvette was later spotted driving through some people's yards.
The Corvette then went down a dead end road and in a wooded area near Custis Road.
The driver and passenger of the Corvette were then taken into custody. The passenger was questioned and later released without any charges.
The driver was identified as Otis McKinney, 29. McKinney faces several charges out of Marshall and McCracken County, including Reckless Driving, Wanton Endangerment, Fleeing and Evading Police and Criminal Mischief.
McKinney was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
