Charges have been filed against Goss in connection to Tuesday morning's armed robbery.
The Jefferson County State's Attorneys Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of Goss on charges of armed robbery and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Bond has been set at $1 million.
Goss remains hospitalized under police guard.

MT. VERNON (WSIL) -- The Illinois State Police (ISP) Zone 7 is investigating an officer-involved shooting involving an officer from the Mt. Vernon Police Department.
On Tuesday, June 2, around 2:43 a.m. MVPD officers responded to a call of an armed robbery at the Huck's gas station in the 1800 block of South 10th Street.
A preliminary investigation indicates an officer encountered an individual who matched the description of the armed robbery suspect.
As the officer approached the man, 55-year-old Fredrick Goss, he fled on foot. During the foot chase, gunfire was exchanged between the officer and Goss.
Goss was hit by gunfire and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The officer was uninjured.
A firearm was recovered at the scene along with evidence relating to the armed robbery.
