CARLISLE COUNTY, KY. (WSIL) -- A Bardwell man is back in custody just two days after being released on bond from a felony arrest.
According to the Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called Saturday afternoon to Gregg’s Grocery located at 29 Elm Street in Bardwell.
Store employees told deputies that an inebriated man had attempted to start a fight with a juvenile male employee and was making loud, obscene remarks about the juvenile female employees.
Although the man had already left, employees gave a description of what he looked like. That's when Sheriff William Gilbert showed them a picture of Devin Roberts.
Employees identified the 32-year-old man as the person who had previously been in the store and causing the disturbance.
Sheriff Gilbert then went to Roberts� home, who had just been released on bond two days prior for a felony theft from the City of Bardwell.
The sheriff found the suspect passed out in the front seat of a running vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle he had drove away in.
Roberts' has two prior DUI’s and is currently suspended in the state of Kentucky from driving a motor vehicle.
Sheriff Gilbert went inside Roberts' home and found his 3-year-old son with another adult who was also inebriated. The Department of Social Services was notified, and the child was released to a family member.
Gilbert arrested Roberts for driving on a DUI suspended license 2nd offense, operating a motor vehicle under the influence 3rd Offense, endangering the welfare of a minor and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
He was additionally cited for Menacing and Disorderly Conduct for his activities at the grocery store.
