WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) --- A man in Williamson County was charged with fentanyl possession after a routine traffic stop, authorities said Monday.
Adam M. Calvert was a passenger in the vehicle that was pulled over shortly before 5 p.m. Feb. 24.
During the traffic stop, deputies said they found a white plastic bottle containing 1.74 grams of a white powdery substance.
They also found several pink capsules that weighed about 10 grams and tested positive for the presence of fentanyl.
Calvert was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and taken to the county jail.
The driver of the vehicle, Amanda B. Prince, was cited for failure to signal when required and operating an uninsured vehicle.
