CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- One person was arrested in connection to a battery investigation in Carbondale.
The Carbondale Police Department said their officers responded to the 100-block of North Washington Street on March 3, at 10:28 p.m. for an unconscious person.
Once they got to the scene, officers said they found a victim was injured and was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said Tyrique Williams, 24 of Carbondale, along with one other person, are suspects in this incident. Police then said they found Williams and said he ran from them on foot. Officers then said they were able to catch up to Williams and police accused him of having what they suspect was narcotics on him when they arrested him.
Police cited Williams with an Aggravated Battery charge, Resisting a Peace Officer and Manufacture/Delivery of Look-Alike Controlled Substances charges. Williams was then taken to the Jackson County Jail.
