HERRIN, Ill. (WSIL) -- One person faces multiple charges after police said he resisted law enforcement while driving a stolen vehicle.
The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said on December 14, at just before 11 p.m., the sheriff's office said their deputies were in Herrin and saw a stolen vehicle going north in the 200-block of 18th Street. Authorities stated the vehicle was reported stolen a couple hours beforehand from the Crainville area.
The sheriff's office then said deputies tried to pull over the vehicle, but the vehicle wouldn't stop. Energy police and Herrin police officers assisted the sheriff's office in trying to stop the vehicle.
Stop sticks were also used to try to stop the vehicle, however, they were not successful. The sheriff's office then reported the vehicle later hit a parked vehicle and came to rest on the shoulder of the road.
The driver was identified as Jesse Greene. The sheriff's office said Greene resisted and fought with deputies. A K9 with the sheriff's office also assisted.Â
Greene was reported to have been taken to a hospital for minor injuries before taken to the Williamson County Jail.

- Disobey Stop Sign
- Failure To Signal
- Disobeying Traffic Control Device
