MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) -- The Marshall County Sheriff's office reported the arrest of Pastor Clarence Barry Hungerford, 58, of Mayfield, Kentucky, on June 25, 2025.
Authorities said Hungerford faces charges after he was accused of soliciting inappropriate photos from an 11-year-old girl.
Detectives investigated and reported Hungerford had sent messages to the girl, asking for photos of her body. The sheriff's office also said Hungerford admitted to contacting the girl and attempting to destroy his cellphone to hide evidence.
Hungerford faces charges of tampering with physical evidence and unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities. Law enforcement said he was a pastor in the Aurora Community of Marshall County and had a part-time home there at the time of the incident.
