BENTON (WSIL) -- A Perry County woman is facing charges as part of an investigation into the theft of U.S. mail.
Juanita C. Crews, 30, of Du Quoin, was arrested Friday for one count of identity theft, two counts of forgery and three counts of mail fraud.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says Crews was taken into custody after investigators served a search warrant at her home.
"The investigation is ongoing involving the theft of U.S. mail and the forging of financial documents and other forms of identification," read a statement Monday from Franklin County Sheriff Dave Bartoni.
Crews is being held in the Franklin County Jail.
The sheriff's office says additional charges and arrests are expected.
