METROPOLIS, Ill. (WSIL) -- Authorities said two people are suspected of "jumping" another person which led to injuries of a man last week in Metropolis.
The Metropolis Police Department said on February 2, someone called 911 about a person injured in the 1900-block of Ferry Street. Once officers got there, they said they found a person covered in blood with a large cut to his head and injuries to his face.
Police started investigating and said two people jumped the victim.
One of the suspects was identified as Shawn Walker. Police said they found him and arrested him on an aggravated battery charge.
Police also said they identified another person as a suspect and a warrant will be issued for his arrest.
Walker was taken to the Massac County Jail.
