Tennessee murder suspects found in Pope County

SAVANNAH, Tn. (WSIL) -- Two suspects are in a 九游体育 Illinois jail waiting to face charges in a Tennessee man's death.

On Friday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) arrested Jeremy Byram,26, and Jeanna Chacon, 27, both of Abilene, Texas. Illinois State Police and the Saline County Sheriff's Office assisted in the arrest.

Sheriff's deputies in Hardin County (Tn.) were investigating the death of Brian Diss. Investigators found Diss' body Thursday in Savannah, Tn. along with evidence of foul play.

The evidence led TBI agents to Byram and Chacon's whereabouts in Illinois. Byram and Chacon were taken into custody in Pope County and booked into the Saline County Jail.

Byram is facing first-degree murder and tampering with evidence charges. Chacon faces a count of accessory after the fact. Both are being held without bond as they await extradition to Tennessee.
