Two faces charges after law enforcement serves search warrant

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- Two men were arrested and face several charges after law enforcement said they found guns, drugs and cash during a search of a home.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said on April 1, around 2 p.m., detectives with their department served a search warrant at 5225 Parkside Drive in Paducah.

After searching a home, the sheriff's office said there were multiple pounds of Marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia, three handguns, one of which was reported stolen from Paducah in August of 2023 and seized approximately $76,723 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales.

Two men were arrested. They were identified as 29-year-old Bobby Staples and 29-year-old Michael Lightfoot.

  • Receiving stolen property firearm
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Failure to notify address change to department of transportation

Michael R. Lightfoot

  • Firearm enhanced trafficking in Marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Failure to notify address change to department of transportation

Both Staples and Lightfoot were taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
