PADUCAH, Ky. -- A woman faces several charges after authorities investigate an animal cruelty case in western Kentucky.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said their investigation started on March 18, after their office received a tip stating there were dead dogs and poor treatment of animals.
An animal abuse investigator with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office saw three dead puppies and three other puppies who were sick at a home on North 13th Street recently.
The puppies, along with an adult female dog believed to be the mother, were then taken to a local veterinarian's office for emergency treatment, however, two of the puppies reportedly passed away within 24 hours, according to police.
