(WSIL) -- Thursday will bring drier weather for most across the region, before more showers return tonight.
A cold front is pushing showers further south and east this morning. Some transition to a wintry mix may bring some sleet to folks as the precipitation leaves.
Otherwise, for most, today looks like a cold and cloudy day, with temperatures stuck in the high 30s this afternoon.
Another system works its way into the region late tonight, bringing a chance for showers. Cold air at the surface will still be in play as this moisture pushes in, leaving potential for a wintry mix.
I'll be tracking tonight's chance for sleet and possibly freezing rain, coming up this morning on News 3.
