JONESBORO, IL (WSIL) -- A person was killed after crashing their car into a tree Friday.
The Illinois State Police report that the crash occurred on Friday, October 21 around 10:25 p.m. The individual was driving their car on Route 127 just north of Cross Ferry Lane near Jonesboro. For an unknown reason, the driver veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other passengers in the car.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
