HARRISBURG (WSIL) -- Hundreds of students had the opportunity to learn about different careers at a job fair Tuesday in Harrisburg.

Students from Saline County, including Carrier Mills and Eldorado, had the chance to meet with 50 different organizations.

Careers from law enforcement to retail were available to expose options students may not have considered.

Organizer Scott Isaacs, safety director at Harrisburg High School, says this is a wonderful opportunity for the students.

"We have a lot of students that may or may not have direction going forward after high school. So we're trying to get them to gain some interest in different areas, different fields of employment. We want them to know what's available in this area," he said.

Isaacs says the turn out was so great, he's already looking forward to planning for the next fair.
