INA, Ill. (WSIL) -- Rend Lake College will welcome their 8th President after a vote by the Board of Trustees on Tuesday.
Lori Ragland was voted as the newest President at Rend Lake College on the evening of March 11, and will succeed Terry Wilkerson after he retires at the end of June.
Ragland will be the first woman to serve as president at Rend Lake College. She is a Sesser resident and looks towards the future of innovation, student focus and also to continue the dedication of the community the college serves.
"As we build on the strong foundation laid by my predecessor, my focus will be on ensuring a smooth transition while embracing innovation to enhance Rend Lake College’s relevance in this ever-changing landscape,� Ragland said. “We will seek opportunities to better serve our students and bolster our recruitment strategies to reach those we have yet to serve. Every individual seeking education and career advancement should be given the chance.�
