.Levels on the Big Muddy River will continue to drop, falling below
flood stage at Plumfield Sunday, and at Murphysboro Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Elderly man struck by train in Anna

ANNA, IL (WSIL) -- An elderly man was struck by a train in Anna today.

The Union County Sheriff's Office had received a call from the Canadian National Railroad had struck the 71-year-old man at the 70 Crowell Heights Loop. The man was taken by ambulance to the Union County Hospital and flown by helicopter to St. Louis hospital.
