Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau and Thebes
.Heavy rainfall in the upper Mississippi River Basin, and additional
rainfall in the forecast, has resulted in rising river levels.
The river is expected to rise above flood stage tonight at Cape
Girardeau and Saturday evening at Thebes.
The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Thebes
* from Saturday evening until further notice.
* At 7:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 30.3 feet.
* Flood Stage is 33.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast…Rise above flood stage by Saturday evening and continue
to rise to near 34.0 feet by Saturday, October 12.
* Impact…At 34.0 Feet…The town of Thebes begins to flood.
