FWCAC launches Blue Kid Campaign for Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) � April officially marks the start of Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, nationwide. 

States and communities across the U.S. are launching their campaigns to spread awareness. 

In Franklin and Williamson Counties, you might notice some blue cut-outs of children as you drive on the roads.

These blue cut-outs are a part of Franklin-Williamson Child Advocacy Center's Blue Kid Campaign.

Organizers say a $100 donation to the FWCAC will get you a blue cut-out to place in front of your home or business. 

Sheriff Bacon says last year, over 39 businesses participated in the campaign.
