- At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 24.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday evening and continue falling to 17.5 feet

Glass pumpkin program helps SIU students

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Many came out to check out some glass pumpkins for sale in Carbondale on Saturday.

SIU hosted their Annual Great Glass Pumpkin Patch Sale on October 12.

¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois University students from the program each made glass pumpkins.

Jiyong Lee is the head of the glass program and informs News 3 how this event helps out the students.

"You know we get to invite all the visiting artists and the students also get to go to conference trips and the field trips, so, it has really been enriching their educational experience with the proceeds," Lee said.

Lee also said he is hopeful to continue this event and to have more people come and support his students.
