Harrisburg officials offering meals to students during the summer

HARRISBURG, Ill. (WSIL) � With the school year nearing its end across our region, officials in Harrisburg want to make sure children can still receive good and nutritious meals. 

To help, they're offering a free meal program starting Monday, June 2nd, through August 1st. 

Every Monday through Thursday, anyone 18 years or younger can receive a hot lunch and breakfast for the following day at Harrisburg High School. 

On Fridays, officials are offering the option to take home meals for the weekend. 

Locations for weekend meal pick-up include:

  • Harrisburg High School 

  • Century Estates

  • East Side School

  • Barnett St. Housing Authority

Meal pickups will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Meals are $6 for adults.
