MT. VERNON, Ill. (WSIL) -- Brenda Schroeder, RN, BSN, ACM, has received the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award for her remarkable contributions to nursing in Southern Illinois. Schroeder, who serves as the Regional Director of Case Management and Utilization Management for SSM Health, has dedicated more than four decades to the profession.
Schroeder joined SSM Health in 1979 and has become a vital part of the organization's patient-centered care mission. Her colleagues describe her as a guiding force in the nursing community.
“In over 40 years, she has accomplished so much and gracefully navigated the many changes in healthcare,� said a colleague in her nomination. “She treats the team like family and is a true partner in every sense.�
The DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes nurses who have significantly advanced the profession and improved patient outcomes. Schroeder's career exemplifies these ideals, setting a high standard for future healthcare professionals.
To qualify for the award, nominees need more than 25 years of service, a distinguished career, concern for underserved populations, and a commitment to SSM Health's mission.
