
CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- It was a warm but seasonable Thursday afternoon. A few isolated storms have started to pop-up. Those will stick around overnight, but not everyone will see rain. Brief heavy rainfall and lightning will be the main hazards.
The isolated shower and storm chances will also linger through the entire day Friday. The key word being isolated, not everyone will see rain and there will still be plenty of dry time for those who do. Highs will be near average, topping out in the upper 80s.聽
Saturday and Sunday the heat will start to crank up. High temperatures Saturday will climb into the low 90s, followed by the mid 90s Sunday. The heat will be accompanied by plenty of sunshine, it'll be great pool weather.
The mid 90s will stick around through the first half of next week, along with humidity. Heat indices will climb up into the triple digits Sunday, and will continue through Tuesday.
A break from the heat will finally return by the end of next week.聽
