
CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- It has been another hot and humid afternoon. Heat indices climbed back into the triple digits! It will stay warm and muggy overnight, with low temperatures only dipping down near 70 degrees. It'll be mostly dry overnight, but an isolated storm chance will continue for our far southwestern counties.
Saturday will be another hot and humid day, perfect pool weather. High temperatures will continue in the low 90s, with dewpoints in the 70s. Be sure to drink plenty of water and stay cool. An isolated storm or two can't be ruled out during the afternoon and evening, but most will stay dry.Â
By Sunday a cooling trend will begin. A front will drop temperatures back into the mid 80s, with breezy northwest winds. However, it will still be pretty muggy.Â
Next week will bring more mild temperatures, low humidity and dry conditions.
