Thrive dispensary in Anna opened at 10 a.m. and already had hundreds of people waiting outside.
Illinois residents, 21 and older, can now purchase up to 30 grams of marijuana plant material and up to 500 milligrams of edibles with THC.
Non-Illinois residents can purchase half of that amount.
in Harrisburg and in Marion also saw hundreds of people waiting in line to purchase legal marijuana.
