MASSAC COUNTY (WSIL) -- IDOT is warning drivers of a two night road closure on Interstate 24.
The westbound lanes in Massac County, from milepost 37 to milepost 16, will be closed starting Monday night at 8 p.m. The road will reopen Tuesday at 7 a.m.
The road will close again at 8 p.m. Tuesday and reopen at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, weather permitting.
The closure is necessary to allow emergency pavement patching at milepost 32.
Westbound I-24 motorists should utilize US 45 to IL 145, Illinois 145 to Illinois 146, then Illinois 146 to the IL 146/I-24 Vienna Interchange.
Please use alternate routes, reduce speed, be alert to equipment and workers and use extreme caution while traveling through all work zones.
