1 dead, 3 injured after crash involving concrete truck in southern Illinois

ELLIS GROVE, Ill. (WSIL) -- One person is dead and three others injured after a two-vehicle crash in Randolph County on Wednesday morning.

The Illinois State Police said the crash happened at 6:47 a.m. on March 26, along Illinois Route 3, roughly 1.5 miles north of Ellis Grove.

State police are investigating and said the two vehicles involved were a concrete truck and an SUV.

One person was reported dead and three others injured in the crash.

All lanes on Route 3 were shut down for hours during the morning as crews worked the scene and removed the concrete truck from the site.

This crash is still under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
