ISP Joins Carbondale Police in Search of Missing Man Possibly in Danger

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing man out of Carbondale.

Illinois State Police has joined the Carbondale Police Department in looking for Richard Slomkowski, 67 of Carbondale, who went missing and was last seen on August 13 at 7 p.m. in the area of West Main Street and New Era Road in Carbondale.

Slomkowski is described as 5'5" tall, weighs 125 lbs. with blue eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, black pants with black and white shoes.

Police say Slomkowski has a medical condition which places him in danger.

Anyone with any information on where he might be is encouraged to contact the City of Carbondale Police Department at (618) 549-2121 or call 911.
