.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Sesser-Valier students drive tractors to school

SESSER, Ill. (WSIL) -- Students in Franklin County took part in the "Drive Your Tractor to School Day" on Wednesday.

Students with the Sesser-Valier School District took part by driving their tractors to the school, while escorted by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office to ensure a safe arrival.

Joining them was School Resource Officer Baxter who also posed in some photos with students and their tractors.
