ZEIGLER, Ill. (WSIL) -- Authorities are informing the public about two crashes in Franklin County on Friday morning.
The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency first alerted the public at 10:39 a.m. about the first crash. They said the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 148 and Maple Street in Zeigler.
Emergency crews responded to the scene of the crash.
Authorities are urging the public to find an alternative route around the crash site during this time.
A second crash was reported minutes later in another part of the county. This was was sent out by the Franklin County EMA at 10:46 a.m. in the area of N. Thompsonville and Bobtail Lane.
Authorities said the railroad bridge is closed due to a vehicle crashing into the bridge.
The roadway will also be closed in this area until officials can assess to the bridge.
