Authorities looking for escaped inmate in western Kentucky

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WSIL) -- Authorities are looking for an escaped inmate who walked away from work detail on Saturday afternoon.

The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 stated Kevin Johnson, 52 of Madisonville, Kentucky, walked away from work detail at the Convention Center in Hopkinsville.

KSP received the report about the escaped inmate at 3:29 p.m. on December 28, from the Christian County Detention Center.

Johnson is said to be a white male, 6'2" tall, weighing 250 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was described as wearing khaki pants and a black shirt.
