One arrested, one injured after hit-and-run crash with horse-drawn buggy

FANCY FARM, Ky. (WSIL) -- 49-year-old James Gholson of Arlington was arrested and accused of being intoxicated in a hit-and-run vehicle vs Amish buggy crash in Graves County.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened on Friday, October 11, along Kentucky Highway 80 West near Fancy Farm when a vehicle hit an Amish horse-drawn buggy.

One person on the buggy was seriously injured and taken to a hospital.

The sheriff’s office said Gholson drove away from the scene but was later found at a home in Carlisle County and arrested. Gholson now faces charges of DUI, Driving on a DUI suspended License and Leaving the Scene of an Accident
