MARION (WSIL)--The owners of Black Diamond Harley Davidson now own another Marion business.
Community leaders joined Black Diamond for a ribbon cutting Thursday at Kokopelli Golf Course.
State Rep. Dave Severin, State Sen. Dale Fowler, and Pepsi Mid-America CEO Harry Crisp were among those on-hand for the festivities.
"At the end of the day, we want people to travel from all over, not just the state, but the region, and come to Marion. Not just to enjoy our restaurants, hotels and the entertainment things that we have, but to make this golf course a part of the trip as well. You know, just another reason for people to come to town," said Rodney Cabaness, co-partner of the golf course.
, Cabaness and his co-partners purchased the former Illinois Star Centre Mall. He says they're still on the lookout to do more in the Marion community.
