CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- The Illinois Department of Transportation is warning drivers using Illinois 13 westbound in Carbondale of an upcoming lane closure.
Beginning Tuesday, June 1, weather permitting, there will be road construction work on Illinois 13 westbound between Lewis Lane and Wall Street, that will require lane closures beginning at 7 p.m.
The contractor will work nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
At least two lanes will remain open during the day. The work is expected to last 1-2 weeks.
These closures are needed in order to complete resurfacing operations on this section.
Message boards and traffic control devices will be in place to direct motorists.
