PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) One man was injured and faces a charge after a crash on Friday.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened at 7:16 p.m. on March 28, in the 5800-block of Harris Road.

39-year-old Justin Owens of McCracken County, was driving a 2017 silver Cadillac going west when he tried to pass another vehicle and failed to yield to oncoming traffic, the sheriff’s office reported.

Owens then swerved over and hit a mailbox, a utility pole and then rolled over the vehicle, investigators stated.

The sheriff’s office said Owens was under the influence of an intoxicating substance and was taken to the hospital with injuries.

Owens was then cited with an Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol charge.
