Mayfield man faces charges in connection to rape investigation involving minors

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) � On Friday, the Graves County Sheriff's Office arrested 42-year-old Sergio Luis Gabriel on sexual assault charges.

The sheriff's office says that on Monday, February 3rd, authorities received a complaint from two people about a possible sexual assault that took place in 2009 or 2010,  involving Gabriel.

Authorities say during their investigation, they spoke to the two victims who were under the age of 12 when the crimes took place. 

Investigators say once the claims were supported with evidence, they arrested Gabriel, and transported him to the Graves County RC Center and later to an out-of-county facility. 

Gabriel is facing several felony charges including 1st-degree rape of a victim under 12 years of age, two counts of 1st-degree sodomy of a victim under 12 years old, three counts of 1st-degree sexual abuse of a victim under 12 years of age, and one count of incest.
