McCracken County man arrested for strangulation during domestic disturbance

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (WSIL) -- A McCracken County, Kentucky man is in jail after deputies respond to a domestic disturbance. At approximately 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, deputies responded to Baptist Hospital after the report of a verbal disturbance. Paducah Police also arrived for the initial 911 call.

While deputies were at the hospital, they discovered a domestic assault had happened at a residence on Geibe Road. The victim went to the hospital for treatment as a result of that assault. The victim told deputies that on the previous evening, her husband attempted to assault her with a frying pan. The victim also told deputies her husband then submerged her head under water for some time, holding her head under, not allowing her to breathe. Her husband was identified as Tony Masing.

Deputies arrested 68-year-old Masing and transported him to the McCracken County Jail.

McCracken County deputies were assisted by the Paducah Police Department and the Baptist Hospital Security.
